BIO

Jérôme Lemonnier started playing piano at the age of 5. He pursued his musical education at the 'Ecole Normale Normale de Musique', then at the 'Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris' and graduated in 1984 from the Sorbonne University with a Master's degree in Musicology programme. 

Jérôme has composed, produced and edited a number of soundtracks for the arts and entertainment industry. He worked for theatre, television, advertising and multimedia and collaborated with many international artists such as I Muvrini and Youssou N'Dour, both as composer and arranger.

After meeting filmmaker and screenwriter Denis Dercourt in 2006, Jérôme started producing music and soundtracks for the film industry. His first production, 'The Page Tuner' ('La Tourneuse de pages'), was nominated for an award for 'Best Original Music” at the 2007 Césars.

Ever since, Jérôme continued to work as a film composer and has collaborated with several filmmakers such as Christophe Ali, Nicolas Bonilauri, Raphaël Nadjari, Emmanuel Courcol and Mathilde Bayle.

Since 2016, he has been composing the original music for most of the episodes of the Alex Hugo series broadcast on France2 and produced by Pierre Isoard, Olivier Langlois and Sylvie Ayme.

Jérôme lives and works in Paris.
