The ten-part drama series follows the life of Brussels Gigi and his friends Rania, Gregory, Yves and Zola. When Gigi discovers that his mother Anaïs is dating her ex Fabrice again, with whom she shared a drug addiction in addition to love in the past, he presents her with an ultimatum: her son or her lover. When Anaïs refuses to answer, Gigi chooses to leave the house. Falling back on his friends, a new chapter in his life unexpectedly begins.

'Putain' was created by author Frederik Daem and musician Gorik van Oudheusden, written by Frederik Daem, Deben Van Dam and Nadège Bibo-Tansia and directed by Deben Van Dam ('Over Water'). Putain' is a production by Panenka for Streamz and Videoland.
