The fourth feature film by 'Ex-Drummer' director Koen Mortier follows Liam, a neglected teen who is taken away from his parents’ home, where substances and violence reigned. Trading his school for a closed youth facility, he has trouble starting over again as he gets bullied even worse there. Although Liam finds solace with a new friend and social workers at first, when he revisits old traumas during counselling, his past keeps haunting him. 'Skunk' is based on the novel written by Geert Taghon about his many years of experiences in forensic youth psychiatry.
‘Skunk’ is produced by Eurydice Gysel and Koen Mortier on behalf of Czar Film, in co-production with Frank Hoeve and Katja Draaijer for Baldr Film (the Netherlands).
